Build a Pool Alumni are individuals/projects that have attended a Build a Pool conference and gone on to build the pools/facility with community based aquatic programs that are financially successful. They will share what they have learned by going through the BAP process.

Since its grand opening in 2011, the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) has emerged as one of the top aquatic facilities in the nation. A state-of-the-art facility featuring cutting edge concepts in aquatic design, the GAC is located on the campus of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, the premier sports and entertainment facility in the Southeast.
Meet Peter Holcroft co-owner of the family business, N L Aquatic Center. Peter attended a Regional Build A Pool and was inspired to start designing and developing the plans to build an aquatic center to service the entire community. The state-of-the-art facility is the home to the SJAC swim teams, swim school, Swim Smart, Aquatic Therapy and more.

We are proud to say Gilbert and Karol Legaspi co-owners of (SHAC) Swim Houston Aquatic Center journey started by attending a Build A Pool conference. Swim Houston Aquatic Center (ShAC) is Houston's premier swimming facility. ShAC hosts swim classes, team swim events and training, water aerobics and private parties children and adults. The organization is family owned and operated. Swimming and swim instruction has been a Gilbert and Karol family passion for generations, and along its staff are impassioned about bringing their knowledge of skill and safety to the great public.
TAP has worked with Laura and the International Swimming Hallof Fame from the beginning of the project. Laura has looked at the project from every aspect to meet the needs of all of the users of the aquatic facility. Even if you are not a swimmer at the ISHOF you will enjoy taking a tour and visiting the complex to learn about the history of swimming.
